Tire Repair and Tire Leak Inspection

A low tire is easy to ignore until it becomes a bigger problem.

Maybe the tire pressure light keeps coming back. Maybe one tire looks lower than the others. Maybe you found a nail in the tread, hear a slow hissing sound, or have to keep adding air every few days. That is usually a sign that the tire needs more than a quick refill.

At Vehicle Masters, we inspect tires for punctures, leaks, sidewall damage, valve stem problems, uneven wear, and other issues that affect safety. Some tires can be repaired. Some should not be repaired. We check the tire properly and explain the safest option before moving forward.

Signs You May Need Tire Repair

Tire problems are not always obvious right away. A slow leak can take days to show up. A puncture may stay plugged by the nail or screw until the tire starts losing pressure faster.

Common warning signs include:

Tire pressure light on the dash
One tire losing air repeatedly
Visible nail, screw, or sharp object in the tread
Hissing sound near the tire
Vibration while driving
Vehicle pulling to one side
Uneven tread wear
Cracks, bulges, or cuts in the tire
Low tire pressure after parking overnight
Shaking at highway speed

If the same tire keeps losing air, do not keep filling it and hoping it holds. Low tire pressure can affect handling, braking, fuel economy, and tread life.

Puncture Repair, Valve Stems, and Bead Leaks

Not every tire leak comes from a nail.

Sometimes the valve stem is leaking. Sometimes the tire is not sealing well against the wheel. Corrosion, dirt, or small wheel damage can allow air to escape around the bead. In other cases, the tire pressure sensor area may need attention.

These leaks can be frustrating because the tire may look fine from the outside. We check the common leak points so you are not stuck adding air over and over without solving the problem.

Why Tire Leaks Should Not Be Ignored

A slow leak may not feel urgent, especially if the vehicle still drives normally. The problem is that low tire pressure changes the way the tire contacts the road.

Driving on a low tire can lead to:

Poor handling
Longer stopping distance
Uneven tire wear
Tire overheating
Lower fuel economy
Sidewall damage
Higher risk of a blowout
Damage that makes the tire no longer repairable

If the tire has been driven while very low or flat, the inside of the tire may be damaged even if the outside looks fine. That is one reason proper inspection matters.

I thought she was going to have to call off the next day for work while I take the care somewhere to get fixed. But Steve was able to squeeze me in at the last minute, he fixed it in no time and was very professional while still being informative of the issue and how he will resolve it.
